“Yugen – Tears and Light” is the title of the new album by the Yugen Trio, hailing from Salento. The trio consists of Katya Fiorentino (piano), Stefano Compagnone (bass), and Maurizio De Tommasi (drums). The musical tracks developed in 2020 span across time and space. Cyclical rhythms and melodies mix with soundscapes that range from dreamy to ethereal, creating a sound world where every instrument takes center stage. The result is a floating sound, with musical textures sometimes more abstract, other times richer and more varied.

The trio is supported by Valerio Daniele (guitar), Giorgio Distante (trumpet), and Francesco Massaro (electronics).
